The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. The Procurement Team is part of the Finance function, it is responsible for specialist advice and support.   LSHTM is moving towards a category approach to procurement, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring a suitable strategic approach, operational planning and delivery for one of the category areas.

The role holder will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or will have equivalent experience to CIPS Level 5.  They will also have experience of operating as a procurement generalist within a complex environment (preferably in Higher Education or the Public Sector) as well as significant experience of carrying out competitive tenders across a wide range of categories and values.  Further details can be found in the job description.  

The post is full time 35 hours per week and permanent.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 6 in the range £42,875 – £48,691 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting) plus a market supplement of up to £5,000 per annum depending on skills, experience and current salary. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
