About Curriculum & Digital Innovation (CDI)The Curriculum & Digital Innovation (CDI) team at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN, King’s College London), is meeting the growing demand for blended and online learning material. Our team works with world-class academics to design and develop blended and online courses, programmes and learning experiences.About the role:We are looking for a Media Producer to join us. Reporting to the Creative Media Manager of CDI, the role holder will be responsible for video and audio production.The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of media production from building stakeholder relationships to understanding the full production process to creating online deliverables. You will be comfortable working with video and audio production both in the studio and on-location, as well as remotely. Technical proficiency with industry-standard AV equipment and Adobe Creative Cloud applications is essential.As a Media Producer, you will be responsible for interpreting client briefs, advising on the suitable medium for the audience and objectives, conceptualising media solutions for client approval, and taking ownership of the full production process. This includes tasks such as, filming and directing, writing and reviewing scripts, recording audio, editing video and audio, post-production, and creating other content, such as podcasts.The successful candidate will need to work well alone as well as part of a team. Strong organisational skills, confidence in building stakeholder relationships, collaboration, and clear communication skills are key for this position.The role is primarily based at the CDI Studios located on the Denmark Hill campus, although occasional travel to other campuses may be required. We have one fully equipped filming studio and two additional studios for the development of podcasts and self-recording of audio/visual content.As part of King’s hybrid working model, all team members can work remotely two or three days a week if they wish.This is a full-time post – 100% full-time equivalent (35 Hours per week). This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.When applying please provide a link to your creative portfolio or your latest work.About you:To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:Essential criteria * Proven experience and skills in video & audio production (directing, filming, and editing)
- High level of proficiency in using Adobe Creative Cloud software for video and audio editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder & Audition)
- A solid understanding of studio, on-location, and remote AV production techniques
- Experience in working collaboratively with clients to identify appropriate solutions to a media brief
- Competent at prioritising workload & managing multiple projects
- Excellent organisation & communication skills
- Educated to degree level or similar working experience
Desirable criteria * Experience of content creation in a higher educational environment
- Experience producing content for social media
- Skills in photography & Adobe Lightroom
- Knowledge of task management tools, processes, & methodologies

£38,482 to £42,249. Grade 5, from 1st March 2025, per annum, including London Weighting Allowance
