We are seeking a dynamic and hardworking Coordinator to join The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sustainable Chemical Technologies: A Systems Approach (CSCT).As the Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the coordination, recruitment, event organization, and ongoing development of the CSCT. Working closely with the Director’s team and Manager, you will provide administrative and financial support for the Centre’s activities.Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Admissions: Lead the recruitment process, including advertising studentships, handling inquiries, processing applications, and coordinating interviews and open days.
  • MRes and PhD Support: Act as first point of contact for CDT enquiries, coordinate training courses, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Support to the CDT Director: Assist in handling appointments, initiating administrative tasks, and maintaining up-to-date statistics and information for reports.
  • Financial Administration: Monitor budgets and accounts, process expenses, and work with finance offices and industrial partners.
  • Project Coordination and Meetings: Organize board meetings, issue agendas and minutes, resolve issues, and contribute to reviews.
  • Events and Marketing: Coordinate events, manage budgets, update marketing material, and liaise with stakeholders.

This is a very dynamic role where the ability to work with people from different backgrounds as well as build strong interpersonal relationships is key, as you will interact with a variety of internal and external collaborators daily.This is a full-time position, with an expected end date in September 2032.About you:We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent customer relations skills, as well as an interest in sustainability.An excellent track record in financial and general administration of a centre involving
30 people is crucial to the role.Proven experience managing large, diverse budgets (
