About the Role
Applications are invited for a Centre Manager to manage the Centre for Primary Care within the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. This is a key role within the Institute which ensures the smooth operation of the Centre, including the management of all finance, HR and Recruitment activities as well as support for research grant administration. You will join a friendly team at our Whitechapel campus to deliver high-quality leadership at an exciting time for the Institute, which has undergone a period of expansion.About You
You will be a motivated and proactive individual who can provide effective operational management. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have significant experience in working in administration/management in an NHS or higher education setting, and will have experience of managing financial and human resources as well as contributing to strategic activities.You will have an excellent standard of written and oral English communication skills, computer literacy and experience of successful and effective decision making. You will demonstrate an ability to pay close attention to detail and have well-developed interpersonal and administrative skills. Line management experience and the ability to motivate and develop team members is also required.About the Wolfson Institute of Population Health
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to more than 450 staff, 100 PhD students and c500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.About Queen Mary
