About the RoleAn Outstanding boys school in Brent requires a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join their science department. You’ll deliver engaging chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3-5, nurturing students’ scientific curiosity.Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry Teacher lessons, covering core chemical concepts and practical investigations.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong academic outcomes.
  • Develop students’ understanding of chemical reactions, bonding, and analytical techniques.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the chemistry curriculum and resources.
  • Organise and lead chemistry-related extracurricular activities, such as science clubs and competitions.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Chemistry.
  • Proven experience in teaching chemistry at secondary level, including A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and practical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
