About the RoleAn Outstanding boys school in Brent requires a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join their science department. You’ll deliver engaging chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3-5, nurturing students’ scientific curiosity.Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry Teacher lessons, covering core chemical concepts and practical investigations.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong academic outcomes.
- Develop students’ understanding of chemical reactions, bonding, and analytical techniques.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the chemistry curriculum and resources.
- Organise and lead chemistry-related extracurricular activities, such as science clubs and competitions.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Chemistry.
- Proven experience in teaching chemistry at secondary level, including A-Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for chemistry.
- Excellent communication and practical skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
