The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing project management and estimating functions, ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from conception to completion.Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful project delivery.
- Estimating:
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for potential projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate project costing.
- Analyze and evaluate project specifications to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Participate in contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions .
- Review and analyze contract documents to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
- Quality and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and uphold quality standards and safety protocols on all projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager/Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Proficient in project management software and estimation tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
