What’s the role?
This role will drive delivery of Lewisham’s Climate Emergency Strategic Action Plan. As the
Council’s Climate Emergency Officer you will have one of the most important roles in the
organisation if we are to achieve our stretching ambition for Lewisham to be net zero by 2030.
The post will lead on the design and delivery of a range of engagement initiatives and
decarbonisation projects working collaboratively across the Council and the wider community,
including schools, businesses and other community groups.

Location
The job is primarily based at Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will
be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary
£46, 053 – £48, 063 per annum (PO3)
*One year fixed term contract (maternity cover)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of
the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of
the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
