About usUCL Medical School’s Clinical and Professional Practice (CPP) modules make up 20% of the overall MBBS programme, with learning in CPP central to understanding medicine as an integrated whole.About the rolePlease note that interviews will take place on Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th August 2025. Invitations to interviews will be sent at short notice in order to facilitate shortlisting.The main role of Clinical and Professional Practice Tutors is to facilitate student learning through small group work. This will involve planning and preparing for designated teaching sessions; working with relevant resources to deliver teaching, in close collaboration with CPP Module Leads / Lead CPP Tutors. There will be a small amount of CPP course assessment marking.Teaching may take place at the Whittington Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital and/or on our Bloomsbury campus for Years 1, 2 and 4.For the academic year 2025/26,Year 1 tutors will have sessions on alternate Thursday mornings (9am-1pm) in the Autumn and Spring Terms (or all weeks if you have two groups). You will have the same small group (up to 18 students) all year.Year 2 tutors will have sessions on alternate Friday mornings (9am-1pm) in the Autumn and Spring Terms (or all weeks if you have two groups). You have the same small group (up to 18 students) all year.Year 4 tutors teach on Thursday afternoons (2-5pm) from 2 to 8 weeks in length (depending on the topic).We are particularly looking for the following tutors for the academic year 2025/26:Year 2 tutorsYear 4 Ethics & Law tutors andYear 4 Mental Health Specialist Tutors this year.There are two tutor training mornings each year. Successful candidates will need to be available to attend training on 11th September 2025 and 8th January 2026.Teaching will start in mid-September for Year 4.Appointment details:
About youWe are looking for professionals with a qualification in healthcare or related industries, who have experience of teaching in healthcare settings. Ideally this will be gained from within an undergraduate programme, or a programme relating to Medical Education.Knowledge and evidence of commitment to ‘Good Medical Practice’ are essential, coupled with excellent facilitation skills and the ability to promote reflective practice.Application process:
