The post is fixed term for fixed term 12 months and will be based between the Royal London Dental Hospital in Whitechapel and Whipps Cross Hospital.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be based in the OMFS and oral surgery department at Barts Health Trust. The applicants should have experience in oral surgery. Professional Registration & Qualifications
Essential

  • Full Registration with United Kingdom General Dental Council GDC

Desirable

  • Fellowship in Dental Surgery or membership of faculty of Dental Surgery, or equivalent
  • On the specialist GDC list in Oral Surgery
  • ILS (or equivalent) within one year of application
  • Possession of a certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Oral Surgery, or equivalent

Teaching
Essential

  • Experience of teaching to an appropriate level
  • Supervision of junior staff

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification

Research
Essential

  • Understanding of the principles of research

Desirable

  • Higher Degree (MSc or PhD)
  • Research relevant to Oral Surgery
  • Evidence of peer reviewed publications

Management & Leadership Skills
