Job summaryThe Trust Fellowship is 100% clinical, with exposure to all aspects of transplant and dialysis access surgery. The post will be for 6 months (extendable to 1 year dependent on progress/appraisal). Elective responsibilities include attendance at operating lists including live donor work, PD lists, vascular access including local and GA lists. Fellows will be involved in ward rounds and the management of in-patients as well as transplant and access outpatient clinics. On-call activity includes renal and pancreas transplantation, plus emergency vascular access.We reserve ourselves the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient amount of applications for the role.Main duties of the jobClinical duties include ward rounds and the management of in-patients. Outpatient duties include recipient evaluation, living donor evaluation and post-transplant clinics as well as access clinics (vascular access and peritoneal dialysis). Elective responsibilities include attendance at operating lists including live donor work, PD and vascular access lists and general surgery/urology. Engagement with audit and governance activities will be required, including participation in M&M and MDT.
