The IWK is inviting you to be a part of an innovative team of ANS mental health and addiction (MHA) professionals who will engage and work directly with ANS children, youth and families. The ANS team will explore new ways to engage the community and improve our MHA programs capacity and response in the provision of mental health and addictions services. Be a change maker with us and part of a team that is client centered with a focus on culturally responsive care. We want to partner with the ANS community with intention. We are looking for someone who is motivated and interested in responding to the ANS community needs with the goal of improving our overall mental health and addiction services.Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Community Mental Health and Addictions (CMHA), the Clinical Interventionist will work as part of an interprofessional team within the African Nova Scotian Service. Clinical Interventionist will work with healthcare professionals including Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, In-Home Support Youth Care Workers, Community Navigators, Recreation Therapists and Psychiatrists. The Clinical Interventionist will work with children, youth and families, utilizing a culturally relevant and evidenced informed approach to deliver care to children and youth up to 19 years of age in an ambulatory clinic, outreach or community-based setting.Hours of WorkMonday to Friday; 8:30am – 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week). Some evening work and flexibility may be required.Your Qualifications
