The School of Pharmacy in the Faculty of Science at the University of Waterloo invites applications for an individual with a strong background in pharmacy practice and exceptional classroom-based instructional skills for a full-time Clinical Lecturer position with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2024. The successful candidate will have at minimum 5 years of prior experience teaching pharmacy students at the university level, and a minimum of 5 years of practice experience with a community focus. Teaching in the undergraduate curriculum in areas related to clinical practice is expected (80% effort). In addition, the successful candidate will engage in service activities in support of the school, university, or pharmacy profession (20% effort).

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program of study and be licensed or eligible for licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Excellent communication and organizational skills together with a strong commitment to teaching are essential.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 annually. While the initial appointment is for a 3-year definite term, the appointed Clinical Lecturer may be considered for promotion to an on-going appointment thereafter.

The University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy is the anchor institution for the University of Waterloo Health Sciences Campus, located approximately 5 km south of the main campus in downtown Kitchener. DeGroote School of Medicine, a teaching clinic for the UW School of Optometry and the Centre for Family Medicine Academic Family Health Team creating unique opportunities for inter-professional education, patient care and clinical research.
