Job Description:AMN2 Grade – £43,504 – £49,126Clinical Research FellowFixed-Term for 9.5 monthsDue to limited budget on the project, offers can be made up to step 3 on the AMN2 grade for the duration of the post; a salary over this threshold may result in a reduced duration of contractWe are looking for a highly motivated candidate who has completed medical training and wishes to pursue training in clinical research within the field of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).It requires an individual with a specific skillset who is medically qualified and has experience in surgical education. An Honorary NHS contract will be sought for the successful post-holder. You therefore must be eligible to hold an honorary contract with NHS Lothian, and must also be registered with the General Medical Council. The Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor will sign the relevant forms for NHS.Salary will be determined on the basis of previous service in the NHS training grades. Normally you will be matched to your current incremental point or nearest equivalent. If currently a member of the NHS Pension Scheme and employed in a clinical post it may be possible to remain a member of the NHS Pension Scheme.This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.Your skills and attributes for success:

The Deanery can be found at the Bioquarter Campus (Queen’s Medical Research Institute, Chancellor’s Building, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine and the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People), the Lauriston Building, Lauriston Place, the Western General Hospital and the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
