Starting salary for this academic post from £35,333 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £42,155 per annum (pro rata)

For candidates who are medically qualified, starting salary from £40,257 per annum (pro rata) (clinical academics in training scale, nodal point 3), dependent on stage of medical training

These new positions have been created at Norwich Medical School to support the development and delivery of our Physician Associate and MB BS Programmes, supporting the clinical teaching and mentoring of our students. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates keen to develop their academic pathway for a fixed term of one year. 

The roles are for 0.5 FTE employed by UEA and candidates will be expected to arrange and undertake a clinical role in the remaining 0.5 FTE. 

You be supported if required in accessing clinical opportunities relevant to your experience where an NHS appointment within primary or secondary care is not already held.

The role provides an exciting opportunity to gain a highly desirable post graduate qualification (PG Cert) and experience in the development and provision of medical education. This post would be perfect for candidates who have a passion for education and wish to develop their teaching skills, providing a solid foundation for a career in clinical healthcare education.

The Clinical Teaching Fellow role is ideally suited to a recently graduated Physician Associate, Junior Doctor or nurse educator who is at least 2 years post-graduation.

These part-time (0.5 FTE) posts are available from 1 August 2023 for a fixed term period of 12 months, with the possibility of further extension. The posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
