The FDB Collection Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to contact customers and collect overdue and outstanding payments. Extensive interaction with customers, other members of the Finance group, Customer Success, and Sales is required.
This position will be based out of the Indianapolis, IN office.
Responsibilities:

Send past due reminders to delinquent customers

Monitor assigned accounts daily

Professionally contact customers and discuss their overdue payments

Take actions in order to encourage timely payments

Update account status records and Salesforce contacts as appropriate

Present periodic updates on collection activities and progress

Other duties as assigned, such as following-up on past due surveys
Required Experience:
-
Experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role is preferred
-
Working knowledge of billing procedures is preferred
-
Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
-
Ability to work independently

High School Diploma

Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Indianapolis, IN. The reasonable estimate, if hired in Indianapolis, is $58,000.00 – $72,000.00. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the hourly rate would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting pay rate will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
