If you are as serious about your work as you are about enjoying the people you work with, we want to hear from you!Role SummaryReporting to the Vice President, Commercial Property Portfolios, the Business Development Manager generates new sales revenue through direct contact with targeted commercial property owners and managers using their knowledge and industry experience. An equally important function is to maintain and enhance programs for these clients through a disciplined call plan and identification of needs.Key Responsibilities
- Creation of needs analyses and utilize strategic selling skills to profile the desired need-payoff for the segment and/or client
- Identify sales opportunities according to objectives and time frames outlined in the annual sales and marketing plan
- Develop sales plans, which effectively drive client adoption by addressing buying needs and their decision-making processes
- Utilize methods to attract and cultivate the interest of potential accounts through lunch and learn events, technical presentations, and team introductions
- Work with assigned existing accounts to identify new sales opportunities for cross-selling of First Onsite services to decision-makers and influencers
- Develop and implement a client engagement/implementation plan, which includes regular meetings and communication with all assigned accounts, both existing and new prospects.
- Ensure expectations of your assigned clients are communicated throughout the organization and are satisfactorily met and exceeded
- Help maintain account program details and communicate these to management and operations
- Measure the performance of claims execution and institute corrective actions with branches
- Use Salesforce CRM as directed and required
Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum three-five years of work experience in related field sales or business development role, particularly selling services
- University education, preferably with a Marketing or Business focus
- CIP, RIBO, CRM or IICRC accreditation is very helpful, but not critical
- Working knowledge of property insurance, building construction or restoration is an asset
- Well networked in the property, commercial insurance industry, facility management, and/or commercial clients sales and management
