About usThe UCL Department of Economics has an outstanding international reputation in key areas of current research. The Department is also a leader in economics education, with initiatives such as the Curriculum Open-Access Resources in Economics project (CORE) now being used by over 300 universities around the world.The department offers an undergraduate programme (including options for study abroad and a work placement year), an undergraduate affiliate student programme, postgraduate (MSc) programmes in Economics, Finance, Economics and Political Science and a vibrant, structured MPhil/PhD programme.The Department of Economics at UCL has an academic staff of 50, supplemented with full-time research staff and teaching fellows plus an active programme of academic visitors. There are currently over 1000 undergraduates and more than 150 taught graduate students studying in the department, alongside over 80 PhD students..About the roleThe role provides dedicated high-level executive and administrative support to the Communication Manger in internal Communications, events and visitors’ programmes.They will plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload in a fast-paced working environment, exercising judgement to manage competing priorities.
