Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the fast growing and dynamic Executive Education team at Imperial College Business School. This 12-month fixed term contract will provide a unique experience to support and develop our ambitious growth plans.  

The Communications and PR Manager is responsible for all Executive Education public relations and corporate communications activities across key national and international target audiences, delivering brand recognition, business opportunities and positioning Imperial College Executive Education as a market leader.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible for all Executive Education external communications, as well as cross-college media collaborations in order to develop and implement a content strategy that supports and positions Executive Education as an industry leader.

You will also responsible for leading Executive Education’s events strategy in order to promote brand recognition and develop significant business development opportunities nationally, international, face to face and online.

Essential requirements

  • Educated to first degree (or equivalent standard) and/or proven experience at a similar level.
  • Extensive experience of working in a Public Relations, media or communications role
  • Proven experience of successfully raising an organisation’s public profile
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with significant experience in producing press releases and copywriting
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong links with the media
  • Specific experience of using a range of social media platforms
  • Experience of working in a customer focused sector
  • Experience of organising corporate events – face-to-face, virtual and online
  • Excellent IT skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and the ability to learn and use other software packages as well as Salesforce
  • Experience of managing budgets

This is a fixed term maternity leave cover for 12 months commencing August 2023.
