The main objective of this consultancy service is to conduct a study of the communities’ perception of human security issues in the areas along the border of Tajikistan with Afghanistan (localities in Shamsiddin Shohin, Panj, Farkhor, Hamadoni, Jayhun districts of the Khatlon region, and Darvoz, Vanj, Ishkoshim districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast, as well as cross-border markets in these areas (where available)). Based on the results of the study, conclusions about trends might be drawn and recommendations made for policy adjustments and/or implementation of appropriate measures in the field of border management. This component will also be used as a starting point for assessing the results of the project at a later stage.
