DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Risk and Planning Office, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
1) Implement enhancements to the the Early Warnings for All Dashboard, including data updates and new features;
2) Finalize the design of the Country Hydromet Diagnostics Dashboard, ensure proper data feed and set up for continued maintenance;
3) Provide support on the development of data visuals for monitoring products, including reports and rolling reviews;
4) Carry out other duties, as required.
The expected deliverables from the consultancy are as follows:
– Enhancement of the Early Warnings for All Dashboard, including new features;
– Finalization of the Country Hydromet Diagnostics Dashboard;
– Data visualization for monitoring products, including reports and rolling reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS | ||
Education University degree or equivalent in business administration, social science, statistics or a closely related field. |
||
Experience A minimum of 7 years of combined national and international progressively responsible experience in applied analytics, business intelligence, information management, statistics, social sciences or related area. Proven experience with visualization software, such as PowerBI, Tableau, ArcGIS, etc. Proven experience with the design and development of dashboards and report visualizations. |

Other requirements Sense of integrity, responsibility, maturity of judgement, initiative and creativity. Excellent analytical, data management, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Proven experience to analyze, model and interpret data in support of decision-making. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple workloads. |
||
Languages Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of other official languages of WMO would be an advantage. (Note: The official languages of the Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.) |
