  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) in Radiology at time of interview
  • Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent
  • FRCR or equivalent

Desirable

  • Qualification in another specialty (eg MRCP)
  • Higher Degree (eg MSc, MD, PhD)

ExperienceEssential

  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients, including an ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in cardiothoracic imaging.
  • Ability to conduct sub-specialty MDTs.
  • Undertake cardiothoracic imaging on-call cover in a specialist cardiothoracic unit.
  • Ability to liaise with other hospitals and imaging departments within the region and beyond

Desirable

  • Expertise in CT guided and pericardial thoracic interventions
  • Nuclear cardiology and lung oncology reporting including MIBI and Lung oncology PET.
