This post will support the Haematology service and Thyroid service with relevant clinical research activities, audit and teaching. This includes responsibility for the radiotherapy delivery (including Proton Beam therapy) for patients with haematological malignancies / disorders, and delivery of radiotherapy, radionuclide therapy and systemic therapies for patients with thyroid cancer. In addition, we would be looking for the postholder to lead and continue to develop the research and academic profile for the teams. The appointee will attend relevant MDTs and outpatient clinics and also participate in the attending ward rota as well as on call rotas.We are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Clinical Oncologist who will work with a committed multi-disciplinary team consisting of Medical and Clinical Oncologists as well as Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registrars as well as our dedicated admin team.

They will participate in the clinical oncology attending ward rota as well as on call rotas.This post includes the MSCC lead role and attendance at the weekly spinal MDT.As well as service delivery, a key element of this role will be leading and contributing to the research and academic development of the department. Finally, this post will support the haematology service and relevant clinical research activities, audit and teaching. This work incudes supervising training and non-training positions within the department as required.It is also recognized that this complex service is constantly evolving and that development and change within this role is expected.
