We are looking to recruit substantive consultants to our Community Paediatric team in Newham for 2024.These posts are an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team within a multidisciplinary Community Child Health service in East London:Post 1 – Consultant Community Paediatrician (up to 10PA)Main duties of the jobThe postholders will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive community paediatric service within Specialist Children & Young People’s Services and will include responsibilities in the following areas:(i) Clinical activities: a. Consultant clinics and related administrative work b. Clinical triage of referrals c. Clinical supervision as Consultant of the Day d. MDT clinical discussions or meetings e. Any clinical patient-related meetings(ii) Teaching: a. To contribute to departmental teaching b. To contribute to teaching of medical students particularly in relation to community child health services(iii) Management and leadership: a. Clinical Supervision b. Clinical governance c. Management supervision d.
