BACKGROUND

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is looking for an individual local consultant to support the development of the Project Identification Form for the project “Building Resilience and Transforming Livelihoods through System-Based Adaptation in Rwanda”.

UNDP works in around 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, as well as the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. UNDP supports countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience to sustain development results.

UNDP is also working to strengthen new frameworks for development, disaster risk reduction and climate change. The main aim of UNDP is to support countries’ efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which will guide global development priorities through 2030. The key 2030 Agenda principle of leaving no one behind and stamping out inequality is at the core of all of UNDP’s interventions.

Collaborate in designing a transformational adaptation project, integrating technological innovation, ecosystem-based approaches, and behavioural change, by supplying the international consultant with critical local data, analysis, and stakeholder perspectives.
