An opportunity has arisen for one candidate to join a growing, dynamic and forward thinking Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at Chelsea & Westminster Foundation Trust. The candidate will join a faculty of 20 consultants working across our 2 Hospitals Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.The post would be based predominantly at West Middlesex Hospital, with the potential to work across both sites according to the demands and vision of the department. The appointed individuals are expected to uphold the Trust values to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care to patients with liver disease.The appointee must be a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent and would be expected to have completed higher specialist training or equivalent in Gastroenterology. It is highly desirable that the appointee holds a higher medical degree (i.e. MD or PhD).Applicants must be on the Specialist Register (for Gastroenterology) or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK.**Please note the job description is pending Royal College approval**Main duties of the jobConsultant GastroenterologistAn opportunity has arisen for one candidate to join a growing, dynamic and forward thinking Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at Chelsea & Westminster Foundation Trust. The candidate will join a faculty of 16 consultants working across our 2 Hospitals Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.The strategic vision for the department is for staff to work seamlessly across both sites however, in the first instance this post will be predominantly based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital site with the potential for cross site working with clinical sessions at West Middlesex University Hospital.
