We have an exciting new substantive 10 PA post in Haematology with an Interest in Haemostasis and Thrombosis at UCLH.The successful candidate will join the existing five consultants in the haemostasis and thrombosis team, including clinical support for the regional TTP/TMA service, the largest UK centre. The post holder would have the opportunity to develop sub-specialty interests in liaison with the existing consultants. The on-call commitment will be to assist in the TTP/TMA and haemostasis and thrombosis services. This would involve inpatient management and on call referrals and advice involving UCLH patients and tertiary referrals.Main duties of the jobApplicants should have a special interest in Haemostasis and Thrombosis and preferably a higher medical degree in this or a related area.The appointee would be expected to support research within areas identified and develop their own particular area of interest. Collaboration with other investigators is encouraged.. All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving their Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) at the time of interview.University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is one of the most complex NHS trusts in the UK, serving a large and diverse population. There is also a 10 bedded ITU on the new site.Within haemostasis and thrombosis, there are a number of specialist clinics, including: TTP, ITP, General Thrombosis/Cancer Thrombosis clinics, Obstetric Haematology and haemostasis clinics.   • Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
  • Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
  • Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
  • MCEM / MRCP(UK) / MRCS (or equivalent)
  • FRCPath or evidence of equivalent qualification
  • Evidence of postgraduate research
