Applications are invited for a full time Consultant in Anaesthesia with a special interest in Paediatric Anaesthesia. The successful applicant would join a team of 7 (FTE) paediatric subspecialty anaesthetists who undertake a mix of paediatric and adult practice and cover a paediatric anaesthetic on call rota.A candidate who is unable for personal reasons to undertake the duties of a whole-time post will receive equal consideration. The Trust operates job share and flexible working.Main duties of the jobThe appointee will take his/her share of clinical responsibilities within the Department of anaesthesia. This will include provision for peri-operative assessment.In addition to duties within sub-speciality, the appointee will be required to provide anaesthesia for adult patients in all specialties as appropriate to his/her training and experience.There is an on-call commitment of approximately 1:7. • MD, PhD or other postgraduate qualification (PGCert, PGDip, MSc)
• ALS/EPLS/ATLS instructor or equivalent
