Job summaryJoin us at Ravenswood Forensic Secure Hospital, as a Consultant in Adult Forensic Psychiatry, you will provide vital care and treatment within a specialist secure unit. You will work alongside a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, offering expert assessment, diagnosis, and care for adults with complex psychiatric needs. With 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week, this role provides a balanced focus on direct clinical care and professional development. • Full Registration with the General Medical Council
• To hold Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post
• MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
• Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview.
• Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983

• Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others
• Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
• Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
• Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
