The Trust currently provides Ophthalmology outpatient services at Oldham Integrated care centre, Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield General Hospital. All day case surgical activity takes place at Rochdale Infirmary. This post requires cross-site working, providing outpatient clinics from different sites and surgical work from mainly Rochdale Infirmary.The advertised posts will complement a team of 10 Consultants, 4 Associate specialists, 2 speciality doctors and 5 junior clinical fellows.This appointment 10PAs will be made in accordance with the 2003 Consultant Contract Terms and Conditions.The Job Description indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within the service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.Main duties of the jobLeadership and development of ophthalmic subspecialty work.   • Evidence of Accredited Clinical & Educational Supervision of Medical Learners

  • Broad experience in the management of all aspects of Ophthalmology

  • Research Skills: Publication of research articles, demonstrating understanding of research methodology and commitments
