An exciting opportunity for a Consumer Codes Membership Officer

We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Membership Officer to play an important role
for Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC). RECC is part of the Consumer Codes team at Renewable
Energy Assurance Ltd (REAL).

RECC is the foremost consumer protection champion in the domestic renewable energy sector. RECC
provides consumer protection and compliance standards for installers of renewable energy
products, offering ADR services, training resources and a range of other benefits. With over
5,000 members across the UK, RECC is uniquely positioned to set industry-leading standards for
consumer protection, helping its members not only meet these standards but also to thrive and
expand their businesses. RECC is approved by Chartered Trading Standards Institute as part of
the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme and is a TrustMark Scheme Operator.

This is an opportunity to work with a smart team led by experienced management. You will have
the chance to learn on the job and to take your own initiative and shape the Consumer Codes’

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • processing new membership applications
  • reviewing applications and helping applicants get ready to be a member of RECC
  • communicating with applicants by email and phone
  • assisting with the membership renewal process
  • providing support to existing members
  • promoting membership benefits to the existing member base

Post-holder profile

We are looking for an organised team player, a strong communicator educated to degree level or
equivalent, with good knowledge of MS Office and who enjoys talking to people. Full training
will be provided but experience in a membership role and/or knowledge of the renewable energy
market or consumer protection landscape is desirable.

Reporting arrangements for the job

The post-holder will report to the Head of Membership.

Salary

This is a full-time, office-based role in Central London with a salary of £25k – £27k per annum
depending on experience. Office hours are 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Staff work in a
hybrid setting with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
