Contra is seeking a skilled and dedicated Remote Backend Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, along with an in-depth understanding of React and React Native. Expectations:

This is a remote role but candidate must be based in the United States
Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript.
In-depth understanding of React and React Native.
Familiarity with the following concepts:
- SEO
- Semantic HTML
- A/B Testing
- CI/CD
- Unit and Integration Testing
- Git
- Command Line
- Cloud Environments
- Containerization
- Performance Profiling
- Security Testing
Experience with SQL databases (NoSQL is a plus).
Experience in building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
