Control Risks: Embedded Security Advisor (2 Positions) – Matarbari

Control Risks is working with an international construction company, engaged on a large infrastructure project in Matabari, Bangladesh, to appoint two (2) Security Advisors to work on a variety of crisis planning, business continuity issues, corporate security & crisis management, asset protection and strategy projects. The 2 Security Advisors will work on back-to-back rotating shifts, one-month on, one-month off.

The duties of the role:

  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate corporate governance and legal and regulatory compliance frameworks exist to discharge PROJECT’s duty of care to staff and shareholders in respect of security and crisis planning for the project’s assets.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a reporting and management framework to monitor the implementation of security and crisis processes and procedures across the project’s asset portfolio at the strategic level.
  • Responsible for developing a set of baseline project security and crisis planning requirements applicable across the asset portfolio.
  • Appropriate resourcing of security and crisis management functions at each facility and ensuring security and crisis management responsibilities are delegated to appropriate personnel.
  • Developing and implementing country-wide security/crisis policies and procedures
  • The development, implementation and monitoring of all corporate security functions, including electronic security systems (alarms, access control systems and CCTV); security guarding contract management; corporate security awareness and training, as well as oversight of security planning and project management.

Requirements

Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in law enforcement, security or intelligence for governmental agencies or major multinational corporations
  • Extensive experience in managing and conducting international security operations, including physical security, investigations, personal protection and crisis management
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Demonstrated ability to deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface directly with senior-level clients

Education

  • At minimum, the candidate should possess a four-year college degree (e.g. BA, BSc, BEng, BBus). Certification of professional training is desirable.
