Chrono is a Quebec-based airline offering planes that can accommodate between 9 and 120 passengers, exclusively for charter flights. With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono continues its expansion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the charter flight industry in Quebec and Canada.Role and contextThe Coordinator, Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS), is responsible for ensuring operational compliance with regulatory and organizational quality and safety standards. This individual oversees the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the SMS. Collaborating with various maintenance teams and the QA department, they identify risks, propose corrective and preventive solutions, and help promote a safety-first culture within the organization. They will also provide support to the QA department for various tasks.Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of operations with regulatory and organizational safety and quality standards.
- Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, and manuals related to the SMS.
- Plan and conduct internal audits to assess the SMS’s effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead weekly follow-up meetings.
- Coordinate incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Train staff on SMS principles, procedures, and objectives.
- Actively support personnel with investigations, root cause development, and suggested corrective action plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor risks associated with daily activities, proposing appropriate management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to follow-ups, inspections, and safety analyses.
- Provide technical advice on best safety practices.
- Supervise continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and quality processes.
Assist the QA department with audits and implementation of corrective action plans.Key skills

Specific job requirements
- A degree in aviation management, air safety, quality management, or a related field is an asset.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a safety management or quality assurance role in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of Canadian and international aviation regulations.
- Certification or training in safety or quality audits is an asset.
- Familiarity with risk management tools and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in French is required. A strong command of English is also essential to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and worldwide.
