Job description

You will be required to support a number of busy laboratories; you will have practical clinical or microbiological laboratory experience to aid the provision of an effective and efficient technical service within the University for staff and students. You will be instrumental in the safe and efficient operation of a technical facility/group of facilities supporting technical and academic users e.g. teaching laboratories, research laboratories and CL3 facility. You may also support other facilities where required.You will be expected to take responsibility for organising your work to meet targets and deadlines.You should have a BTEC National Level (or equivalent) and have laboratory experience.Advanced knowledge of microbiology or clinical immunology is essential. CL3 experience is an advantage but not essential. The post is available on a permanent basis.
