Job purpose and background

The Corporate Engagement team facilitates the company journey for thousands of companies
globally from their first response to making bold environmental commitments and beyond. The
London based Corporate Engagement team works with companies in the UK and other regions
including the Middle East, Africa and Russia and works closely with our global counterparts. In
this role, you will support the delivery of CDP’s global corporate engagement strategy and will
also undertake direct engagement with companies from a broad range of sectors across all
thematic programs (climate, forests and water security). You will work closely with global
teams across the organisation to ensure a smooth experience for companies reporting through the
CDP platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake active engagement with companies to encourage and support their disclosure to CDP on
    climate change, forests and water security
  • Join workstreams identified by the Global Engagement Team as essential to efficient and
    impactful engagement with thousands of non-member investor requested companies globally
  • Coordination of key engagement materials and training resources for use by global Corporate
    Engagement team colleagues
  • Maintenance and use of data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Supporting the Corporate Engagement team’s work with other departments, especially CDP’s
    technical team, to ensure that processes are in-line with the engagement materials and
    communications

This is a full-time permanent role based at CDP’s Central London office reporting to the Senior
Manager, Corporate Engagement.

The precise description and nature of your job may be varied from time to time and you may be
required to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail
  • Keen interest in corporate sustainability and related company challenges
  • Ability to work with global colleagues, and develop strong internal and external stakeholder
    relationships
  • Familiarity and experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems and Excel
  • Degree educated or equivalent (Environment/Sustainability- related degree desirable)
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role, working in NGOs and/or commercial
    organisations (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in a global organisation (Desirable)
  • Additional language skills (Desirable)

Salary and benefits: £25,967, per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous
non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and
development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
