This full-time position will begin in January and run until the end of February, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate. Working with a variety of year groups and subjects, you will manage classroom behaviour, support pupils in completing pre-set work, and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
  • Supporting pupils to complete their work and stay on task.
  • Liaising with teaching staff to ensure a seamless transition of lessons.
  • Providing feedback on lesson outcomes to the relevant teacher or department.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in UK secondary schools, preferably as a cover supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • The ability to manage classrooms effectively and adapt to different age groups and subjects.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to handling various challenges in the school day.
