You’ll supervise a variety of subjects across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work. This is an ideal role for those considering teaching as a career, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to work in education full-time.You will become a core part of the school, a large and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield. • Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people.
• A desire to work in education or support the learning of young people.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Delivering pre-set work across various subjects.
• Ensuring pupils remain on task and behave following school policies.
• Promoting a calm and productive learning environment.
• Liaising with teaching staff regarding student progress.
• Covering a range of year groups, mostly KS3 and KS4.
• Ensuring that completed work is collected and returned to the teacher.
• Reporting any issues or incidents to the relevant pastoral or academic staff.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Promoting inclusion and equality within the classroom.
