Hours: Full time, hybrid working

Salary: this role sits outside the University grading system but equates to a Level 7 role

About FME

FME Ltd (formerly Fitzwilliam Museum Enterprises Ltd) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Cambridge which is responsible for commercial activities including retail, ecommerce, wholesale, licensing, and product sourcing.

The Role

The Creative Manager (CM) has responsibility for the development of creative assets to support licensing and marketing materials to support the commercial activities of the company.

Duties

  • Develop ‘pitch decks’ to support new licensing initiatives
  • Develop marketing assets to support CuratingCambridge.com
  • Support licensees with product development support
  • Support product approvals process
  • Provide guidance to licensees on the collections of the University of Cambridge Museums and Botanic Garden, the Cambridge University Library, and other parts of Collegiate Cambridge

The Candidate

We’re looking for candidates who have strong creative skills in graphic design, illustration and marketing.

The candidate should have strong graphic design skills and be familiar with the Adobe Creative Cloud; the ideal candidate will also be proficient with video editing and animation software such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Rush, Adobe After Effects.

Candidate should be proficient in using Microsoft suite packages. Web editing and general HTML / CSS knowledge would be a plus.

Ideally the candidate will have strong University and collections experience.

While this is an FME role, University of Cambridge applicants can maintain continuity of employment and participation in existing University pension scheme.  The company operates a bonus scheme.
