Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.Job Description:About the role:Reporting to the Manager, Trade & Custody Operations at SLGI Asset Management Inc., the Custody and Trade Operations Analyst will be responsible for activity within the investment funds with specific accountability for trading, fund on fund trade processing and settlement, cash reporting, daily reconciliations and analysis, while supporting process improvements and controls.What will you do?

  • Support the Trade and Custody Operations team through trade execution of fund on fund trades for internal and external funds from trade execution to trade settlement, cash communication and expense reporting
  • Corporate action monitoring and processing
  • Perform reconciliation of all fund on fund trading, security trading and custody accounts while maintaining log of discrepancies to support governance reporting
  • Monthly and quarterly investment fund reporting as required
  • Liaise with sub advisors for trading, cash reporting and resolution of discrepancies
  • Assist with opening investment markets within foreign jurisdictions and maintain current foreign filings, liaising with Fund Administration, Product, Legal, Custodian, Auditors and Tax Agents
  • Support the maintenance of current tax treaty and tax repatriation documents
  • Support the launch of new Funds by assisting with any disclosure requirements and updates to processes/systems
  • Initiate process improvements to drive efficiencies and enhance the control environment
  • Regulatory monitoring for custodian and sub-advisor compliance

What do you need to succeed?

  • 1 – 3 years of Investment fund finance experience
  • Understanding of trade flows and standard settlement instruction maintenance with a knowledge of security and cash settlement procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Macro writing)
  • Strong analytical thinker with an ability to work both with direction and independently
  • Knowledge and experience with report writing tools
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, ability to work under tight timelines

Preferred skills:

  • University degree
  • Audit experience
  • Charles River experience
  • Experience with RBC as a custodian
  • Experience administering proxy voting process
