Job Title: Customer Service Advocate II – Call Center Position

Job Summary:

Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Full-Time

  • Location: Columbia, South Carolina

  • Pay Rate: $14-15 per hour

  • Shift: 8-hour shift between 8am and 8pm

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries via phone, written communication, web, or in-person.

  • Conduct research to resolve non-routine inquiries and adapt responses as necessary.

  • Document inquiries and maintain accurate records regarding customer complaints and feedback.

  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve customer issues.

  • Manage priority inquiries and assist with special projects as directed by management.

  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and quality work instructions.

  • Contribute to process improvements by recommending changes based on daily operations.

  • Assist in training new employees and cross-training coworkers to enhance team performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for work experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of claims processing or customer service experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficient spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

  • Strong organizational and human relations skills, capable of managing high-stress situations.

  • Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.

  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and standard office equipment; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software is preferred.
