Customer Service Representative in Amarillo, Texas

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Amarillo, Texas. In this role, you will be the main contact point for our customers, managing customer interactions with professionalism and respect, and ensuring a world-class customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer purchase orders and convert them into manufacturing production orders

• Maintain communication with internal and external customers regarding order status, estimates/quotations, order changes, and confirmations

• Monitor and manage customer inventory levels, taking proactive steps to prevent any discrepancies

• Investigate and resolve issues such as order discrepancies, customer quality complaints, overdue accounts receivable, and aged inventory

• Engage closely with operations, shipping, and maintenance representatives on a daily basis to stay updated on plant activities that could impact customer order fulfillment

• Coordinate with design, sales, pricing, and operations department to manage the implementation of new customer items

• Enforce correct order unitization and manage customer-specific reporting requirements

• Coordinate with internal and external vendors to ensure the correct tooling artwork and CADs are approved by the customer and provided to the manufacturing team

• Provide data reporting of orders, sales, and inventory to plant management, sales teams, and customers as requested

• Participate actively in the plant’s non-price improvement initiatives, especially in the areas of aged inventory, trailer utilization, and operational efficiencies. Requirements • Proficient in customer service activities to ensure customer satisfaction

• Proven experience in sales, demonstrating the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively

• Ability to perform office functions and manage administrative tasks

• Capable of preparing and presenting detailed reports

• Understanding of operational procedures and company policies

• Experience in payment processing, including check processing and accounts receivable (AR)

• Strong research skills to solve problems and find information

• Able to plan and organize work processes efficiently

• Commitment to maintaining high quality standards in all tasks

• Basic understanding of design principles

• Capable of managing schedules and meeting deadlines

• Understanding of pricing strategies and production processes

• Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and other office software

• Experience in implementing plans and strategies effectively

• Ability to confirm orders and resolve discrepancies

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in shipping procedures and handling paper documents
