Position Purpose:
Provides customer service to external customers by processing various types of orders, answering questions, and general problem solving. Provides customer service to internal customers by processing transportation calls, lending support to sales staff, and providing information and support to various other employees upon request.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Enters, deletes, or changes orders called in by customers, transportation, sales, or employees.

Enters, deletes, or changes credit pickup requests called in by customers, transportation, or sales.

Initiates credits requests (no pickup) called in by customers, transportation, or sales.

Researches and provides solutions to various problems and complaints as called in by customers, sales, and transportation.

Provides a wide range of support functions to sales, customers, transportation, and other FB staff.

Enters orders requested by buyer into bookings or next assigned screens as needed.

Provides product information to customers, sales, and transportation.

Research discrepancies and may need to forward to the appropriate department for further research and resolution. This may include billing errors, software issues, product information, etc.

Communicates important information to other customer service staff via group voice mail, e-mail, or instant messaging.

Forwards new account leads to sales management.

Required Qualifications:
Skill in operating various office equipment such as computer terminal, adding machine, copy machine, fax machine, and phone system.
Ability to communicate with customers, coworkers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner on the phone, and through written correspondence.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to listen accurately to all callers and understand the specific purpose of the call.
Ability in following through on all customer requests.
Ability to learn, support, and implement customer and employee related policies as determined by management.
Ability to recover quickly from a negative call and put a smile on for the next caller.
Skill in managing several situations or requests at one time and set priorities.
Ability to enter data quickly with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent.
1-2 years experience in a customer service environment.
1-2 years experiencing spending 70-80% of a work day on the phone.
Experience in convenience store or food service is desirable.
