We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bilingual Customer Service Representative in the water industry located in Greenville, South Carolina. The role involves handling customer interactions through various channels and processing payments. The prospective candidate will be tasked with managing customer complaints, maintaining efficient communication, performing cashiering tasks, and establishing rapport with customers.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond to customer interactions via telephone, email, internet, or in person in a professional and courteous manner.

• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, determining validity and corrective action to be implemented.

• Report complex issues to the supervisor and ensure follow-up within the timeframe committed to the customer.

• Perform routine cashiering tasks such as setting up and balancing cash drawers, processing payments, posting payments to accounts, and updating account information.

• Develop rapport with internal and external customers, greeting using a person’s name, and demonstrating account ownership.

• Research accounts, determine adjustments according to established rules and procedures, notify customers of deposits due and of payment discrepancies as necessary.

• Post time extensions for payments.

• Use computer data entry skills to assist customers and answer inbound calls in a professional manner.

Requirements

• BILINGUAL (English/Spanish)

• Experience in answering inbound calls is essential

• Must be able to respond professionally to customer inquiries

• Ability to assist customers with their needs promptly and efficiently

• Proficient in computer data entry tasks

• Experience in a water industry-related customer service role would be an advantage

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• High level of problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle difficult customers with patience and professionalism

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of water industry terminology and practices is a plus

• Must have a strong attention to detail

• Must be able to multitask effectively

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
