Customer Service Representative in South San Francisco, California

Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in South San Francisco, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be an integral part of our team, managing customer interactions, maintaining their records, and ensuring their orders are processed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming phone calls, ensuring they are screened and forwarded appropriately

• Welcome guests including customers, vendors, and visitors with a detail oriented demeanor

• Efficiently handle customer orders received via phone or fax, ensuring they are processed correctly

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability and delivery schedules

• Maintain up-to-date company sales catalogs for easy reference

• Ensure all invoices are double-checked, alphabetized, and filed systematically

• Handle additional tasks as required to ensure smooth operations

• Utilize your skills in Microsoft Word and Order Entry for efficient data management and customer service. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or relevant customer service position

• Proficiency in answering inbound calls and handling both inbound and outbound calls

• Demonstrated experience in a call center customer service environment

• Proficiency in providing exceptional customer service

• Strong data entry skills with high level of accuracy

• Excellent email correspondence skills with attention to professionalism and response time

• Experience in order entry, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and timely
