Customer Service Representative in Thunderbolt, Georgia

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Thunderbolt, Georgia. The role involves acting as a liaison between our manufacturing plant, warehouses, and customers in a wholesale environment, providing information about our products and services, and resolving customer queries with efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently managing both inbound and outbound calls, as well as email correspondence with customers.

• Preparing detailed quotes, entering sales orders, acknowledging customer purchase orders, and generating invoices.

• Handling inquiries from Manufacturing Facilities, Warehouses, and Distributors.

• Implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures and reconciling, checking, and updating inventory management files.

• Evaluating and documenting timely shipments and deliveries.

• Managing transportation logistics from factory to warehouse, from warehouse to customer or direct containers to customers.

• Liaising with shipping companies, customs brokers, freight forwarders, 3PL personnel, and LTL operators.

• Analyzing various suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.

• Assisting in customer acquisition and retention initiatives, including sending out samples and organizing the stockroom.

• Executing plans to gain, regain and retain customers, including analyzing potential new clients, maintaining relationships with active customers, and conducting outreach to lost customers.

• Assisting the outside sales team and customers in daily operations.

• Supporting other Customer Service Representatives and the Office Manager in inventory and joint/group tasks.

• Updating the team with reports about business/sales analysis/AR/inventory status and proactively identifying issues to determine solutions.

• Managing office supplies and equipment requisitions as required. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry

• Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing both inbound and outbound calls effectively

• Proven track record of offering exceptional customer service in a call center environment

• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and speed

• Experience in email correspondence and ability to compose detail oriented, error-free communications

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and documentation

• Experience with order entry, ensuring all customer orders are accurately recorded and processed

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction

• Knowledge of intermodal logistics, with the ability to coordinate and manage various modes of transportation

• Demonstrated skills in service delivery management, with a focus on maintaining high service standards
