The scope of Hubbard’s work includes complex highway projects, site development, paving, utility and drainage systems, surveying, RAP and hot mix sales, and state-of-the-art bridge building. General Description
This position at Hubbard Construction Company will provide customer service support for our Mid Florida Materials Roll-Off Division. The customer service representative will be responsible for providing customer support, document reviewing, and data entry in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties
Schedule incoming service requests by creating work orders into system
Route and track submittals, verify purchase orders, and tag work orders in various customer portals
Resolve any customer issues and manage composure in escalating situations
Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Collaborate with other team members and assist other CSRs with overflow
Occasionally help accounting with invoice collections and service billing discrepancies
Business casual and conservative attire
Other office duties as assigned and requested
Requirements and skills
Strong PC Skills and basic excel knowledge
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Excellent customer service communication via phone and email
Handle a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment
Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and polices
Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience in an administrative assistant or customer service role. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Three years general office experience preferred. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Must be able to work with constant interruption. Must be proficient with MS Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Customer Service Representative to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Infrequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed;
Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pound
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Customer Service Representative encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Work is performed predominately indoors.
Work environment periodically exposes the employees to elevated levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
Employee occasionally works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
Some exposure to a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
