What is the job about?
Peerless Pump Company, a Grundfos subsidiary, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Water Utility Customer Service team. The Customer Service Representative will act as the key conduit of information between our customers and the factory. The CSR will be responsible for providing status updates on current orders as well as be the focal point for developing delivery schedules for future projects. The CSR must work closely with several different functions of the company (Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Warranty, etc.) to gather adequate information for all customer inquiries. Customer Service Representative will coordinate logistics requirements and assign RMA’s as needed for returned materials.
This position reports directly our Customer Service Supervisor -Water Utility & Industry and will operate out of the Indianapolis, IN facility in a hybrid function.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Your background
We imagine that you have:
-
B.S. in Communications, Business, Organizational Leadership or similar technical discipline required (or commensurate experience).

Working knowledge of mechanical equipment (motors, engines, pumps, etc.)
-
1-3 Years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
-
High written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use proper grammar and spelling.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-
Excellent critical reasoning skills.
-
Technical aptitude.
-
Experience using ERP Systems (SAP preferred).
-
Proficiency with standard MS Office programs.
-
Highly organized, self-starter that can work with little direct supervision.

Ability to make sound decisions when needed
