Summary:

Primary responsibilities are to act as the liaison between the Laboratory Department and any customer having a relationship with the Catholic Health System Department of Laboratory Services and providing high quality Customer Service.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Associates degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) years in laboratory setting preferred or customer service field preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Possess excellent communication skills – written, oral, and interpersonal

  • Clear understanding of medical terminology

  • Working knowledge of LIS/HIS and PC-based such as MS Word and Excel preferred

  • Customer service skills as demonstrated in current or previous job experience, documented training/in-services

  • Ability to handle multiple complex issues under pressure without demonstrating any sign of frustration or disorganization

  • Have the initiative and ability to demonstrate ultimate concern for the customers, anticipating their needs and going beyond their expected levels of service

  • Demonstrated telephone etiquette techniques
