The ideal candidate will bring exceptional communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Position Summary: The Customer Support Specialist will act as a liaison between NY State Solar, our clients, and internal teams to manage and resolve customer inquiries and support challenged deals. The individual will ensure smooth information flow, accurate data processing, and top-tier customer service. This role is integral to building lasting relationships with customers and enhancing their experience with our company.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication: Engage with customers and internal teams to address challenged deals, maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
Data Processing: Accurately handle customer information, including retrieving and uploading documents such as bills, income documents, tax bills, deeds, ACH details, and Social Security numbers.
Documentation Management: Track customer interactions in Salesforce, internal emails, and portals, ensuring all communications are recorded and accessible.
Ticket Resolution: Respond to tickets from various departments, focusing on prompt and effective resolutions.
Platform Management: Update and maintain account details on various sites, including Department of Buildings (DOB) platforms.
Customer Support: Provide courteous phone and email support, guiding customers through the process of updating information and addressing any questions.
Problem Resolution: Investigate complaints, determine solutions, and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure issues are resolved and customer satisfaction is achieved.
Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information, including financial and personal data, with discretion.
Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing customer service reports by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
Training & Development: Complete required training programs to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Company Representation: Uphold company policies and procedures in all customer and team interactions.
Qualifications
Experience in customer service or support roles
Proficient with CRM software, especially Salesforce
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach
