Basic Purpose of PositionThe Data Analyst will be responsible for transitioning existing reports from legacy tools to new data visualization platforms, primarily Power BI. This role involves understanding current reporting requirements, designing and implementing new reporting solutions, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Existing Reports: Review and understand current reports in legacy tools to identify key metrics and data sources.
• Design New Reports: Develop new reports and dashboards in Power BI that meet business requirements and enhance data visualization.
• Data Migration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy tools to Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Leveraging data marts /data warehouses/data lakes and Microsoft Polybase Data Virtualization.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure the new reports meet their needs.
• Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of new reports to ensure they are accurate and reliable.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to use the new Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the migration process, including data mappings, report specifications, and user guides.

QualificationsQualificationsRequired

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or Business degree with a focus on data.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in legacy tools, Power BI, SQL, ETL processes, scripting (Python) or development (C#). Experience with other data visualization tools is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on reporting and data visualization.
